OHIO MINIMUM WAGE INCREASES TO $10.10 PER HOUR JANUARY 1, 2023

Under Ohio Constitution, Article II, § 34a, the Ohio minimum wage is adjusted annually for inflation by reference to the Consumer Price Index. Beginning January 1, 2023, the Ohio minimum wage will increase to $10.10 per hour.

Unfortunately, many employers, willfully or not, fail to pay the Ohio minimum wage. Ohio law allows an employee to sue for triple damages – three times the amount of unpaid liquidated damages – plus attorney fees and court costs.
